Well, I did it, I made it to college. I'm now a 1st semester freshman with a Spanish education and English Education double major. I just received my Midterm report card. For the first time in my life I have acheived straight A's. It's taken a lot of work and a lot of support from my family, but I'm feeling good and intend to keep on trucking. One of my classes is a Beginning Composition class. I've written 2 essays so far. It's interesting to me how academic writing is so different from creative writing, yet so similar. I can bring my alliteration into my academic writing to get my point across much more elegantly that just getting from point A to point B.
I've written a total of 5 papers so far and have received 4 As and 1 B+ (which pains me because apparently I've become an over-achiever). As soon as I dig out my flash drive, I'll give you a peek at my papers to this point. You'll learn a lot about me, as I've learned a good bit about myself.
I've written about 6 potential children's books. They're sitting on a flash drive waiting for me to do something with them. What I'm going to do with them, I haven't decided yet. I'm considering looking for an illustrator and turning them into e-books, but I'd also like to considered a "published author" in print, where I can look at the books everyday and be reminded that "I did that!" Who knows what the future will be.
